St Lucia Jazz 2010

What do we have to say for Jazz this year in St.Lucia? There are some mixed reviews. Jazz took place May 1st to May 9th. Noticeably there was an increase this year in the local St.Lucian artistes. There were some repeaters such as Maxi Priest and Shaggy who always deliver. If you weren't here then not only did you miss out on the great performances, you would have missed out on the telling increase in the night life in Rodney Bay. Rodney Bay strip was the highlight for entertainment.

The lineup was Steel Pulse, Carl Gustave, Claudia Edward, Jean Luc Ponty, Earl Klugh, Corinne Bailey, Laura Izibor, Quito and the edge, Teddyson John, Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Esperanza Spalding, T-Vice, Dobet Gnahore, Jeffrey Osborne and Howard Hewett. And, how can we forget Ne-Yo!!

In all, Jazz delivered a product that welcomed a variety of age groups. For more on our yearly Jazz and the geniuses that put it all together check out www.stlucia.org. Word is next year will be even better, no doubt about that since it will be the 20th Annual St.Lucia Jazz Festival. Be sure to book early, there were a lot of persons who could not make it this year because every room was booked in St.Lucia, so imagine this will be the most likely situation again next year.
